In this project, we examined the potential of multicolor printing of clay through a single printer nozzle. A software takes into account the volume of each pigment and throws the mixed material aside when necessary. Throughout the experiment, we analyzed the relationship between trash size and color transition clarity.
input:
1) G-code script that was generated by a slicing software
2) Color segments – in percentages. This parameter determines where the color change occurs.
output:
1) Updated G-code file with an additional mechanism, which responsible for throwing mixed color trash between segments
2) Each color’s quantity in ml
